Yerkin Tatishev has been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by EY

Yerkin Tatishev was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the most prestigious business firm Ernst & Young. His leadership and actions in COVID-19 was highly appreciated by the jury.

Participation in the competition was open to any well-known Kazakhstani businessmen. Kusto Group's founder was able distinguish himself among 21 other entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who reached the final.

All of them received an independent assessment by juries of Kazakhstan as well as other business circles.

Yerkin Tashev the winner of the national competition and Kazakhstan's representative at the finals of the international competition in Monaco in June 2022. The contest has 60 finalists from 60 nations, chosen by an international jury.

The Pandemic has caused serious economic issues all over the world. It has led to the financial ruin of thousands in addition to the destruction and loss of millions of jobs.

Many organizations and their leaders have found ways to grow their operations. Yerkin Tatishev, through Kusto Group has also sought to reduce the negative effects of Covid-19, particularly in countries heavily affected by this virus.

Kusto Group's birth has seen the business grow to more than 8000 workers. The company invests 1.1 billion Kazakh Tenges to be used for charity and social projects. It also has sustainable initiatives in the development and construction of gas and oil, agribusiness, and mining industries.

Yerkin Tashev is the creator of Kusto Help.  Kusto Group The organization provides vital services to those affected by the Pandemic.  Daniel Kunin A portion of the Kusto Help Foundation's donations to assist in coping with the Pandemic includes food items, medical equipment housing, technology, and food.

The award EY gave to Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group seeks to recognize those who work to enhance the quality of life within their local communities, nations and all over the world.

Kusto Group has addressed other issues , too, such as the Covid-19 Pandemic. The whole country is at risk from water scarcity.

In this context, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is under great water stress and relies on its neighbours, including China as well as Central Asia.

In the end, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group, Kazakhstan's Government, and Valmont Industries USA formed a partnership. They will collaborate to create a plant in Kazakhstan which will manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation tools.

Additionally, the agreement allows for the development of new irrigation systems that can be installed on farms and the program to train local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine made all donations possible for the Kusto Group. Their entrepreneurial spirit allowed them to be a leader in charitable giving during challenging times.

This is a competency Ernst & Young has held for more than 20 years. Since its founding the company has focused on assisting entrepreneurs. EY has been there to help entrepreneurs in the Pandemic.

All national winners are qualified for the Entrepreneur of the Year competition. The final, which takes place in June of this year in Monaco will allow the winner of the national competition to compete with the top entrepreneurs around the world, while gaining new ideas and experiences to help them further develop their business.

Over 800 Kazakh entrepreneurs took part in the competition. Alongside this there have been six other winners who have represented the country at the world championships held in Monte Carlo.

The decision to crown Tatishev as the winner was taken by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The judges included representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

A key element in Mr. Tatishev receiving this award was his leadership skills and handling of a wide variety of industries. Kusto Group’s uniqueness is directly tied to the ability to handle complex business needs, which was highlighted by this award winner.
